A source from within the Egyptian Football Association revealed the current position regarding the punishment of Mahmoud Shikabala, the Zamalek player.



This is in light of the player receiving a ruling from the Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center to suspend him for 8 matches and fine him 250 thousand pounds.

A source from within the Football Association revealed a session in the Football Association during the hours of the petition submitted by Shikabala against his punishment.

Where Shikabala revealed in previous periods that he had submitted a new petition to the Football Association against the penalty, supported by the decision of the Sports Settlement and Arbitration Center in his favour.

A source from the Football Association confirmed that the new session and consideration of the petition is in the interest of the player’s future, especially that he is over 28 years old.

He stressed that it may be sufficient for the player to be suspended from the matches, as he missed three local matches out of the 8 matches.

Or, the penalty may be reduced to 4 matches, and therefore he will only miss the Ismaily match and then return to participate again with the team.
